Well friends…

We survived another trip to Oklahoma and it was of course, a really awesome time. We definitely got awesome, so to say. Friday at the Mercury Lounge in Tulsa ranks way up at the top of our craziest nights ever! Its been over a year since Jackson Taylor and I got to hang out but we made up for lost time. Jack actually hung from a metal conduit for about 30 minutes trying to pick fights and cursing Nikki Sixx. All the while, his band was forced to repeat the intro to a song that never quite made it past one verse. Where Jim James of My Morning Jacket once reigned supreme for playing the shortest show I’ve ever seen; Jackson Taylor now stands proud! But that makes me love those guys even more. It was a very, nearly perfect night of Rock n’ Roll. Even Will got a little more street credit for punching me in the face after I head butted him outside the bar! The party eventually made it back to our hotel where Jackson, Dusty and I proceeded to do a little pro wrestling in the hallway outside our rooms. Paul evidentally, caught a huge mirror as it fell off the wall and saved me another big fine! Nice work bobble-head! And by the way, it was in a hotel that wouldn’t rent to us anymore due to past…. incidents. We had to use a fake band name so we could get a room. Anyway, most of that night is a blur but I at least have a big floor burn across my face as a souvenir….

My friend Dara down in OKC has been nice enough to star writing little threads on the Texas music website Galley Winter. Unfortunately, some asshole had to insult us right off the bat. His name is Backporchfan. I know its just his opinion and I don’t expect everyone to like me. I just think its funny that being friends with the Back Porch Mary guys that one of their fans dogged me. Anyway, all you friends of mine should get on Galley Winter by clicking on the link above and view the little forum that is set up. Add a comment if you feel like it! The more hits we get the closer we are to actually getting our own forum on Galley Winter. So tell you friends too! We plan on spending a lot of time there in the future whether that dude likes it or not.
