Happy 4th of July!
Its not quite the 4th but I just thought it was time to send out the weekly news letter. We’ll be in Des Moines this Thursday playing at the Yankee Doodle Pops concert with the Des Moines Symphony Orchestra! I guess there will be tons and tons of people. I’ve head sometimes about 75,000 which seems crazy to me even though I know they aren’t there for me. That’s just a lot of people in one area! Immediately after our part the performance we have to split and get to People’s where this years Nitefall on the River: Authentic Showcase show got moved. The 4th I’m actually playing solo at the Lost & Found Lounge. Not sure what the bar will be like that night so tell your friends and help make it a party. Then saturday we’ll be playing outdoors again at The Green Space in Arnolds Park on Lake Okoboji with the Nadas. Good times. These newsletters just sound phony don’t they…? -jd

It was good to see all of you last Saturday at the Des Moines Art Show. Good show, good music. Sorry I missed you guys in Omaha on June 20th. You guys should try to play the Iowa State Fair, that would be fun. I love the preview CD, there are good songs on it. I hope all of you have a good Fourth of July. Hope to see you again soon.

Probably not the right place to post this, but I enjoyed the music before the pops the other night. You did a song with a bluesy bass, The name of it could have been “June”(?) Could someone get back with the correct name of the song? Much appreciated.
