Hey there,
Thanks to everyone who made it out to the shows last week! We had some great times for sure. This week should be pretty rad too. (by the way, spell check doesn’t know the word “rad”…. dumb.) Check our schedule for dates. i’m far too lazy to type them on this thing. I blame 4/20.
We are getting really close to wrapping up our third album if anyone is interested. I’m sure you’ve heard some of the songs at our shows. If you didn’t recognize them and thought that maybe I was selling out and playing a bunch of dumb covers like some acts feel are necessary… think again. I would NEVER be so shallow. They are our songs! The covers we do play are selected through an intensive process leaving only the most tasty treats. No top 40 bullshit. Sorry… my mind is just open to day. At least its open to being okay with being closed minded about cover selection. okay I’m done. -jd
oh yeah, check out the tuesday track… its the first song I ever recorded anywhere… pretty sappy and embarrassing…

I need to make a retraction. I will not be at People’s on the 15th playing solo and opening for Need to Breathe. However, on April 29th I will be doing just that. I got the date wrong…
I will change my tour schedule accordingly asap. my myspace page is all F’d and I can’t do anything until they fix the glitch…
The rest of the week is as follows:
Thurs - The Hub in Cedar Falls, IA
Fri - Fineline in Minneapolis, MN
Sat - 6th St. Pub in Nevada, IA (solo)

Camping and stuff

Hey everyone,
I’m in KC picking up a buddy right now and about to embark on my biannual (I don’t know if that is even a word…) camping trip To the Ozarks. I don’t mean your Lawn chairs by Saylorville fratboy BBQ/camping trip either. I mean we’re in the middle of nowhere. Miles from paved roads and stupid dance clubs. It’s going to be totally rad too. Peace and quiet, finally! Who knows I may fall in a river or off a cliff and die. At least maybe we’ll be famous then…
I just wanted to remind you that if I do make it back alive, I’ll be playing solo at AK’s in Beaverdale this Sunday night at 9. Then on Tuesday, I will be playing solo at People’s Court; opening for Need to Breathe so stop out then too! Now for Next week. Starting on Thursday the 17th, the JDB will be at THE HUB in Cedar Falls so all of you people who took free CD’s and signed up for this list better show up! And bring a friend. Friday is the Fineline in Minneapolis with the Nadas. Saturday, I’ll be back at the 6th st. Pub in Nevada, IA doing another solo show. Last time was great… if I remember right… he he…

Hello Friends,
So its back to the Snorty Horse in Springfield, MO this thursday for the JDB and…. also the Nadas! It’s their first time at the horse so round up as many people as you can! They are a great band and can party at least as hard as me and my guys. They are pros… It will be a fun show, don’t miss it. Then we’ll be heading to The Redstone Room in Davenport with the Nadas. Its our first time there so come help us out! After that we will return Sat to play in our hometown at People’s on Court. We will have a surprise opener too sooooo don’t miss out! Its soooo secret that even I don’t know…. Anyway, we got a couple new from our upcoming record (as yet to be titled:) plus, plenty of the ones you know and hopefully like… otherwise, why would you want to come out. We thank you for your support. And don’t forget to vote for Paul. He’s running for Mayor of Carson, IA again. See you soon. -jd
